Measure the real mounting path, add only a small routing allowance and choose a power/controller setup designed for that total length. Do not select length from room dimensions alone.

Sketch the route
Mark the start point, power outlet, controller position, corners, gaps and surfaces that should not receive adhesive. Measure each straight section separately and total them.
Check cut and join rules
Only cut at the product's marked points. Not every strip supports extension, and connectors must match strip width, pin count and coating.
Match power to total length
Longer runs can draw more power and may show brightness or colour drop. Use only the listed power supply and supported total length for the selected product.
Test before mounting
Connect the complete run, verify colours and controls, then clean and dry the surface. Use clips where the product and surface permit them rather than relying on adhesive around tight corners.

Allow only for the planned cable route and permitted cut points. Excess strip is not useful if the product cannot be cut or rejoined as intended.

No. Strip voltage, width, pin layout, controller and power supply must all support the extension.
